Default Interested in creating a monk

Hi guys, I'm usually never in this forum because I'm an ele but recently, I've gotten Really bored with him and I decided that I wanted to make a monk.

So I was wondering what campaign I should start him in?

I have all three campaigns.People always tell me to go Factions because It's easier to level up (and I've never raised a character there) but I'm not sure If I should because I have to pay for skills although I have around 170k.

Btw, I'm not making a monk just so it can be a 55, I'd just like to be one eventually which most monks end up doing after all. I'd like to play the monk because I've never played a support class and they really seem fun and That's what most monks have told me. Oh and I already mentioned before that I'm really bored

Proph, imo.
You play your way to Lion's Arch - then you have the other campaigns available to you fast and easy, max armour included.

But if you want to be able to change your profession easier than the other two, go NF as by the time you finish the Docks - you can just run to Sunspear Sanctuary and change it pretty much auto.

For Factions - fast leveling...the only good part of that to me, but that's me.

You can try it but if your PvE character hasn't done an ascension mission he won't do anything for you. I know this because I tried it for fun because I was curious .

Yeah, but not until you become ascended, or do the Hunted quest in NF.

If you've rarely or never played a monk in pvp, then I'd suggest Prophecies as it will give you more time to work on your monking skills. Although it's possible to pick up some bad habits *cough*healing breeze*cough* along the way, it's a lower pressure environment to practice in.

Read up on the guides and the links to guides on here and you should do just fine at avoiding establishing those bad habits.

I think ANet should sort out those quests so people don't use bad skills.

Talking Look Good Monking!

If you can't figure out which campaign to play for the content. Maybe concentrate on the looks?

Make a PvP Monk and start messing around with faces, hairstyles from each campaign to see which one looks good and go with that? Also if you want to get used to monking you can always make a build in PvP, test it out in RA then dispose of the PvP char when your done.
